8mm is slim enough to fit into a Starbucks lid or other small holed lids. These streamlined glass straws are great for coffee, tea, cocktails or other clear beverages. If your lid hole is super small, choose 7mm.

I had bought one of the creature straws ages back and it's still holding up great, even with being put through the dishwasher every other day. Decided to upgrade my Starbucks cold cups with glass straws. They work fabulously, and as expected, drinking out of glass is so much nicer than plastic or metal.
